VEMAG has rented a new warehouse in Bergheim, close to its existing MZ logistics centre on the A 61 motorway, for the efficient handling of its book logistics. The modern logistics property is 5,000 square metres in size, has a PV system and a heat pump, and it will feature a planted façade in future. It fulfils high current sustainability criteria and has been certified by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) according to the Gold Standard.

Jörg Borgs, Head of Logistics at VEMAG, emphasises the opportunities offered by the new fulfilment space: “With this property, we have found the ideal location for our book logistics. In addition to the property itself, the decisive factors for us were the optimal transport connections and the proximity to an existing VEMAG site. We are certain that this decision will put us in a very good position for the future.”
