The first titles of VEMAG-venture delphin, founded in 2024, were published at the beginning of January. The six bright softback books in a stylish design with colour edging, ribbon marker and relief structure offer brand new themed puzzles.
The mission of the delphin team is clear: they want to bring a breath of fresh air into the world of puzzles. Their first mission is to create puzzle books that are not only fun, but also provide basic knowledge on a topic.
What is behind the idea? Lena Katzenberger, Programme Manager at delphin at the VEMAG site in Cologne, explains the concept behind the new books. "Our themed puzzle series combines puzzle fun with knowledge. Whether it’s the philosophers of ancient times, musical icons or football legends - by solving the exciting puzzles, new or familiar facts about a subject area are taught, refreshed or deepened. This is the best way to store knowledge in the brain. True to the motto: Puzzle yourself smarter!”
The delphin team is convinced: thanks to their clean aesthetics and high-quality workmanship, these premium puzzle books on the topics of Italy, the Middle Ages, music of the 80s, the USA, football and philosophy stand out from conventional puzzle books. With 70 puzzles on 112 pages, each title is an analogue activity at its best; a digital detox and a contemporary mental workout.
While the first editions have made their way to bookshops in a stylish table display, further titles are already in the pipeline.
